I began this blog but never posted on it so long ago that I forgot all about it - how sad is that?

I've been thinking about what to blog about for so long - I know it has to include food which I am passionate about.  I also want to include crafts, mainly (knitting, crocheting and sewing.  I would also like to include some Farmers Market and/or Craft Show finds.

As for food, I have many old family recipes I'd hate to lose so I think posting them on a blog or website might be the way to keep them.  As for knitting and crocheting - another way to keep tract of some of my favorite patterns and pictures of some of my favorite items.  That pretty much goes for some of the patterns of things I've been making - bowl coozies, bags, aprons, potholders and other such items.

I went to a farmers market in New Jersey at Duke Farms and was inspired by some of the items for sale.  One was a woman who made jams and they were exceptional.  The quality was top notch and the taste was out of this world.  I'd like to feature items from various markets that are made by small producers - people who put their heart into making food and craft items.  I saw one stand there that sold local honey, homemade dog treats, lip balm and other items.  Another person was selling nut butters.  All items were excellent.  I've never really seen these types of places featured and I think it would be fun to feature them as I travel around and visit these markets.
